Roster question

I know you shouldn't put any stock in a college roster and all but why would our football roster have Elijah Staley listed at 6'6'' 248, and the basketball roster have him listed 6'7 230? For those that know the guy which is more accurate?

His quoted weight is 238. He wants to be 230. Looking at him standing next other players, he looks about an inch shorter than Travis Daniels. Travis Daniels is listed at 6-8, but announcers say he is 6-7 when introducing the players. I think he is 6-6 and small change.
