Chase Goodbread(covers college football for NFL.com) was on H2H and said that he has talked to NFL scouts about DeRunnya Wilson and they have told him that he was raw and would benefit from staying another year in college. I think we all realized that but he also said that while he hasnt talked to scouts about Jones, he would think they would say the same about him. I thought that was pretty interesting.

Like I've always said, you can explain something to them, but you can't understand it for them.

This. The competitive side of them overrules the business side. Jamont Gordon didn't even get drafted and he still left a year early. Once they get the taste of the NFL or NBA in their mind they are gone.

I know after the egg bowl he (Chris) said he hasn't made up his mind yet. He said he would see where he was projected but he was also told not to let an agent convince him he was 1st round. Was told agents are only out for themselves and he would benefit to come back next year and perform all season as he had the last 4-5 games and he would get paid.

Unless something has severely changed- Wilson ain't coming back. Some people simply do not want to be in school. He is one of those people

CJ will get paid, Goodburger needs to hit the pipe again.

Everybody knows they are both raw- but both would be drafted if they come out- and both would make a roster and make money. It's hard to tell some people not to do that

I would put a lot of Money on Jones and Wilson going pro. Just from what I've heard from a few players.

There probably both gonna go but most of the draft reports I've seen doesn't have CJ in the top 10 DT projections. Some of the scouting reports talk about him taking plays off. But if somebody would throw half a mill at me, I'd be gone too.

I seen it dawg

Wilson needs to start working, stop pouting, and work on his craft or he won't play shit after his non dominating career at Msu. I love the guy but he's either topped out talent wise (which I don't believe) or he doesn't work as hard as he should.

To play in the league you have to be uber uber talented to not work your ass off and still make it. He's not uber uber talented. Light bulb better get some power to it.

Stans pushed Gordon out. I've heard that straight from the man. Wilson wants to get paid..... He's gone. Jones may come back..... He's actually thinking logically.

What is the status of Redmond and his injury; does he still drafted or no? I know he is done at State, but he was projected to go so high, I just hope the injury doesn't affect his professional career.

Redmond is a 2nd round pick

I think he was a lock for that pre injury. Now it's more doubtful. He will be a bigger risk w a 2nd round pick following surgery.

one scout told a buddy he was 1st round until he got hurt- teams will bring him in and check him out- and as long as everything checks out ok- he is very unlikely to fall out of the 2nd

Surprised the injury is costing him a whole round. ACL injuries aren't nearly the killer they used to be. It's the rare player who doesn't come back as good or better now.

Awesome. That's what I was expecting, just wasn't sure due to the severity of his injury.

I seeWilson a 3rd to 4th round guy. No top end speed. Very little separation and not great hands. I don't see him improving on those things by coming back. Jones needs to cOme back and get his head right for entire season. He is 1st round talent but GM's will not draft him that high because he is 50/50 on how hard he plays. Combine will not change the game tape. Huge money difference now from a career standpoint if you go 1st round versus 3rd.

If Wilson declares he is crazy!! Jones should go... Wilson is 4th rd at best. Prob not that. CJ is 2nd RD.
