Yah it is, I hoped Scott had gone clean for good but many people can't shake addiction. Terrible, one of the great talents in rock music over the past 20+ years.

That stung this morning. It doesn't get much better than STP's first 3 CD's - or Velvet Revolver.

One of my favorite bands..you're right, randy. I hoped he had gotten clean too. All those years of heroin eventually got him. I was lucky enough to see them live twice.

Fall to pieces by velvet revolver was one of his best. I can remember jamming out to Core and the other album with the songs vasoline unglued and others.

Really Clark?

I saw that on tweeter. Sad battle. So many lose their lives either literally or figuratively to that demon.

Duff McKagan in an interview about putting together Velvet Revolver said Scott came in to audition was two hours late but completely nailed it. Duff, Slash and Matt just jammed and let Scott make up lyrics as they went along. Duff said he was thinking I shouldn't be playing bass right now. I should be writing these lyrics down.

Man, that sucks. I was hoping he'd get it together and kick drugs. STP was one of the best ever. I remember walking in the Superdome one year against Tulane and Vasoline was blaring over the speakers.

Core came out while I was at State. When I listen to it today I think of my time in school.

Dead and bloated was an awesome ass song to run out to. I know that.

Interstate love song is STILL one of the great rock songs of all time.....this coming from a late 60's early 70's rock snob......He was great and joins a long line of gone way to early rock icons.....guess it's the nature of the beast.

My son is Scott's current sound engineer and tour manager. He is the one who found him dead in their tour bus last night. Sad day, indeed!

Wow! I bet he has some stories he could tell... So sad...I heard him on Stern a few months ago and it sounded like he was trying to stay clean.

I grew up on STP (90s Rock, in general).. I was lucky enough to see him live with STP and Velvet Revolver. Wild man.
