Just for information purposes, but I wonder what Howland could have done with him?

Sounds like he accepts the blame for screwing up. I hope he gets another chance.

I like how he referred to himself in the 3rd person to close the article.

I hope it works out for him, but I am skeptical. Would be nice to see him succeed after squandering his last chance.

I seen it dawg

A college coaching staff of Coach K, Phil Jackson, Bob Knight, and James Naismith couldn't have done shit with that fu<ker

I don't think Howland could have done anything different with him. He was a lost cause at that time, hope he makes the best of things in the future.

It would have really been interesting to see him coached by someone who would've held him accountable. It would have been the first time in his life I'm sure that happened. He's definitely one of the most talented players we've ever had,; dude just would absolutely not work at getting in shape, among other things.

as much as RS gets blasted he might be the best defender on this team. He could loaf down the court and get 10 rebounds and 16 points a game.

Wasn't Howland at UCLA when Sidney was being recruited? I seem to remember them ending his recruitment to UCLA. Howland probably saw the writing on the wall

He might be the worst case of wasted talent in the history of the sport. He could easily have been the next Magic Johnson if he'd had a sound head on his shoulders. As frustrating as he was to watch for 90% of the games he played for us, he showed some incredible flashes for a guy that size.
