Mine was the 1997 Egg Bowl. We were 7 and 3 and had beaten both Bama and Auburn on the road. Ole Miss was 6 and 4 and kind of stunk it up. They won and both teams were 7 and 4. They went to a bowl game and we did not.

Last year. We may not have made the playoffs but we were #4 going into the Egg Bowl. If we didn't get a spot we would have at least made it tough on the committee. A 6 point loss on the road to the conference champion and 3 straight wins against top 10 teams vs. a home loss to Va. Tech. and a cupcake schedule.

2014.....THey had a bunch of injuries. We took a brief lead. Pissed it away. We should have won regardless. The whole "We were #1 for 5 straight weeks."....became blah blah 17 blah to me. That and the Orange Bowl ruined the whole damn year.

Agreed. They all stink, last year was the worst. I am over the "#1 in the country" thing from last year and wish our guys would be too. That's old news, let's focus on what's next.

2008, no doubt. the absolute low point of all low points. Worst game ever in every single regard.

I know... I've never cheered so Loud and proud for the Bears as I did that day...

I woke up on the side of a mountain one time looking at my elbow. It hurt. My biceps was torn from my shoulder. When I snapped my arm back in place (I was stuck on the side of a mountain and didn't have much of a choice), I broke the head of the humorous. They had to wait 6 months for the bone to heal completely before they could reattach my arm to my shoulder. I couldn't flex my biceps for 6 months or it would just drop down towards my elbow in a huge cramp.

That was about as much fun as this years egg bowl to me.

Last year, and it isn't even close. We were ranked 4th in the nation going into that game. We win that game and we might've been national champs... probably not, but no other year have the stakes been anywhere close to that... not even close.

If this isn't your #1....you just weren't there. UNM should not have even been on the field. Once again bad play calling, prevent defense, and a horrible kick put up in a position for Dick Pace to hurt, Dogs shouldn't have been in that position.

Last year... Let's be honest, that was probably our best shot to make the playoff for who knows how long. Plus, we missed our shot at Atlanta.

I'm already over this year's game because it doesn't really matter (in the big picture) for either team.

That made me think of the old saying "Other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?".

We don't need to dwell on it, but like it or not, it is the high point in the history of our program.

1) 2014
2) 2000
3a) 1997
3b) 1992
5) 2012

I think the other years we've lost to them we haven't been very good so I'd already thrown in the towel for those seasons any way.
