Essentially that is what OMU did hiring Orgeron.

Why would you use 3, 4, 3 wins as a head coach at UNM as an example? Want no part of sliding back down to one of the worse teams in the conference. Don't care what kind of recruiter someone is.

My requirements for a new coach would be:

1) Can he get players?
2) Can he get players?
3) Can he get players?
4) Can he get players?
5) Can he coach?

Without 1-4...5 doesn't matter.

Interesting pick. I wouldn't be opposed to interviewing. Wonder what type of offense he'd want

Just a question. He wants someone like Ogeron in recruiting because that is his first 4 criteria. Coaching is an afterthought basically. So if Mullen is averaging more than double than Orgeron in wins, then what is it? Either he recruits better than he believes or coaching means more.

I know Orgeron was an idiot coach while their and got talent that Nutt did something with. Would like us to take bigger strides in recruiting, mainly OL. But he used the example of Orgeron not me and that was a bad coach to pattern after to compare with Mullen's results.

I thought about Geoff today. Interesting. Not sure he'd be ready for an SEC HC job, but I've heard his name mentioned for UCF.

I'd like to amend, based on the one true strength that ******* has:

1) Can he get players?
2) Can he get players?
3) Can he ID QBs?
4) Can he develop QBs?
5) Can he coach?

That's actually not a bad suggestion as far as recruiting goes. I don't know if he's ready to run the show yet though.

Hud would be the best recruiter. Hands down.

He is very good at that, that's for sure.

I think a lot of people are disillusioned with recruiting since Ole Miss signs a lot of high profile people.

Look at Texas, USC, UF under Muschamp, Auburn, Tennessee, UCLA, Penn St, even Miami... Recruiting isn't everything. You have to be able to coach and develop talent too

Now can we hire someone to recruit AND coach AND develop better than Mullen? That's what we need to identify
