This is why I think next year has some potential, especially on defense. Brown is a loss. Calhoun is a loss. Dak is a huge loss. Redmond is a loss. But Zac Jack has already been replaced. Hutch will get replaced by Justin Johnson (so glad he caught that early season TD then disappeared into the Mullen freshman abyss), Market has been replaced, Malone has been replaced, Rufus has been replaced, and Bell has been replaced. Morrow didn't really impact. If QB play is better than we think and the OL figures its crap out, we have some potential for next year. Would also help if a guy like Ross stayed.

Defense will be a shit show next year if we have the same coaches. And who's gonna play corner? Calhoun and Redmond - gone.

contributor at a position we are dangerously thin at right now. Then there's the juniors that will most likely leave (Bear Wilson and Chris Jones). Those are huge spots to fill.

Keeping Chris jones would be huge. We could have a pretty good dline if he stays. Still hope we give Gerri green a look at de this spring with Richie and Leo at mlb.

Gerri moving to DE could fill that void we are looking at. Calvin played good at times and Jefferson comes back, but after that who plays? Coleman is a nothing. Grant Harris? Adams some? Anfernee? Lot of questions there. If Leo is as good as advertised, moving Green into a speed end role makes sense. Next year might not be a horrible time to experiment with some 3-4 as a base set. James, Jefferson, and Jones/Calvin on the DL. Benny, Richie, JT, and Gerri at LB with Jung, Leo, and Peters subbing. Have Jiles, Cleveland, Bryant, McLaurin at safety. That's a nice little lineup there.
