Egg Bowl winner to Sugar looking very likely, assuming Florida loses the next 2

I wonder where we jump with an EB win....14-18, I'd think.

Yes because Bama is gonna skull**** them. After a 49-0 in Atlanta they will have an anvil attached to them in the polls

Got to tell you, I do not really look forward to playing Baylor or TCU, or OK St. Their offenses will torch us like Ark. However, I don't think they can stop us either.

Winner could get sugar. Loser could be less attractive to bowls than Florida, aTm, lsu, and Georgia.

No. If they have 11 wins, win the east, and beat FSU, they'll get in the NY6.

If we play in the Sugar Bowl we're not going to get to play Rice. Part on my grand master scheduling plan is to play manageable OOC schedules in hopes of a big name match up in a bowl.

Egg Bowl win = 18, blowout could be up to 14.

Does anyone think we could shore the D Sec up during bowl practice?

The only thing that's going to shore up the defensive secondary by the bowl game is a miraculous 2 month full recovery by Will Redmond. But seriously, we need to play Jamoral at corner and just let him learn on the fly. Cleveland doesn't have what it takes talent wise to be a starting corner in this league IMO. Jamoral may make some stupid decisions, but he at least has enough talent to get the job done and isn't defeated before the snap.

Just for the record --- past the ny6 and Citrus -- the next 6 bowls don't get to pick, the sec picks for them. Was a change that came along with the CFP

This link shows the SEC bowl order. Haven't figured out how to put an image in the thread via mobile.

Funny thing is every state fan from the 1st Sugar Bowl until now has been waiting.

SEC Champ plays sugar.... If SEC champ is in playoff, highest ranked SEC team goes to sugar.

So if we win sat and fl loses out, it's sugar bowl. If we win sat and fl beats fl st but loses to bama, fl will be in sugar most likely, and we should be in the citrus, although technically the citrus is not obligated to take us and could pass us over.

Are there any restrictions on who the Citrus can pick? I know there used to be a rule about how far the loser of the SEC CG could fall, and I think there was a rule about not being able to pass on a team with more than a one game differential in record, but I can't find if any of those rules exist now that the CFP essentially sets the Sugar and the SEC more or less picks everything after the Citrus.

I don't think there are restrictions any longer. One thing we might have going for us is seeing a new face with a supportive fan base in the Citrus, since we haven't been before. Would it be a rematch with Michigan maybe?
