She was attending Mississippi School for Math and Science, and one of the things they did there was visit State universities. When she went to Ole Miss, she noticed everybody was saying, "Hotty Toddy" to each other the way normal human beings say "Hello".

Someone noticed her furrowed face and asked her about it. She replied that it sounded so "ghey".

Mind you, at this point my daughter isn't a State fan at all (as a matter of fact, I don't think she even likes me). However, if you raise your children right it'll all come out well in the end.
