Has anyone see the picture of the block directly behind the kicker? Trying to find it - know it yesterday. It looks like Hutcherson would have blocked it if Brown didn't.

I believe someone posted the pics in sequence on 247 site.

I agree, I think he would have gotten it if Brown didn't...
At his height Hutcherson needs to be on all FG and extra point attempts by the other team..

anyway. Looks like it was off to the right. Nonetheless it was a good play by Bennie.

Chris Jones is in the backfield, albeit legs up. You can see him going right at the kicker, with his left leg up in the air/against the back of #78. Beni is being held too.

Our guys were simply not going to let that kick be good. Love it!

As the play occurred live my first gut reaction was Brown was held badly. We blocked it of course so it didn't matter. You can see from the picture he was grabbed and swung sideways.

Question though. If the ball got up and went thru (good), and holding was called, what is the outcome? Was it 3rd down? If so, a declined penalty would still give them a chance on 4th down right? Maybe I'm mistaken it was 3rd down though.

Well, if it was good and we declined the penalty, it would have just been a made FG. I'm not sure I understand the question. If you decline the penalty, the result of the play stands...so it either would have been a made FG or a missed FG.

It was 4th down. You would accept it and they would kick again. Think of an extra point

You're right. I went back and checked, it was 4th down so it didn't matter.

Awesome play by our guys. Hutch may have gotten to it if Beni didn't. I think I read where Beni usually doesn't rush on field goal and is responsible for the TE, but rushed on that because they obviously weren't faking it.

I wouldn't mind us putting Staley back there next week to Hutch next time. He jump through the roof. 6-6 and 6-7 would be tough to kick over.

This!

Sherrill had a basketball player he put back there and got some blocks. Michael Gollar?

I don't think there's a linemen in college that can block Chris Jones one on one.

Interesting move, presumably because of length and athleticism.

It's definitely Cleveland. Here's a screenshot from Youtube right after the block. You can see Cleveland's name on his jersey for a splitsecond.
