Not me, man. I posted the same view earlier. We got our butts kicked by a better team, perhaps the best in the country with quite possibly one of the best D-lines in memory.

Because their D-line was able to consistently bring heat on Dak with 4 or even fewer men, they were able to drop more into coverage, effectively taking Dak's strength this year, his ability to go through his progressions and find the open receiver, away.

Yes, our O-line is not especially good, and got exposed versus a dominant Bama line, but they are good enough in pass pro versus average-to-good teams to make us competitive or more vs the rest of our schedule. I just don't see UPig's line giving us anywhere near the kind of pressure Bama's did. Without that pressure, Dak is gonna Dak!

Our defense played pretty damned well 90+% of the time versus Bama. Couple of screw-ups and a missed assignment or two hurt us with big plays, but most of the time our D stuffed Bama. Eliminate mistakes and our D looks damn good.

We are going to beat UPig.

The reason people have been down is our players being put in positions "not to lose" by a scared coaching staff. Mainly offense. You have to call plays that put your players in the best position to win. Even Hellen Keller knew we should have been rolling Dak out and moving the pocket last week. We kept the "square peg in round hole" approach that we have done more games than not the last season in a half. Most of us here see and very clear and consistent pattern and it is highly disturbing. We have our best QB and WR group ever, a suspect OL, yet we have a staff that insists on slow developing, 18 read, pocket passing plays. That is not setting your players up to be successful.

If Dan had taken the Mini Lee/Ralph years play calling with this bunch(of much higher talent) we would have 1 loss at most right now. Instead we are trying to make a John Elway out of a Cam Newton and driving our team into the turf. So everyone take your blinders off and see what we have for what it is. Stubbornness at the top getting less out of more.

I had to listen to the entire 1st half on radio and finally got around to watching it yesterday. Our oline did not play especially well. Getting beat multiple ways and multiple people getting abused. Neither Malone or Senior who are supposed to be our two veterans played very well. However, in everything else we played pretty darn well in the 1st half. We play defensively like that minus the one screwup between Jackson and McLaurin and we'll be more than fine. Then just need to clean up some blocking stuff.

Twice they ran a stunt with their 4 man front and we got lost somehow. A couple of times they were just better man to man. On the 4th and goal we actually got a good push out of the line but Walley, who was in the backfield completely whiffed his blocka nd that was the first guy to slow Dak up. The 2nd LB came in and I'm not sure who was supposed to account for him or maybe that was Dak's guy to run over.

I actually came away encouraged. We moved the ball on the best defense we'll see all year and played our tails off on defense. ARK is super hot right and and playing incredible well but if we play a fairly clean game I can see us winning by 10+ just as easy as I could see us losing.

Vcash is way too valuable to be throwing around loosely on this game. Seriously though, I wouldn't take Arkansas -18 if that's what your asking, but I wouldn't be surprised if that's what happens. I see one of two things occurring, Arakansas scores a lot and it's a shoot out or Arkansas scores a lot and it's a blow out. I just can't see us stopping their run consistently and their play action is really damn good right now.

Our OL painted a road map for how to neutralize our defense. Just like Vandy did to Ole Miss. We're vulnerable right now, banged up, and coming off a majorly deflating beat down that crushes players' mental strength by pointing out that we weren't anywhere as good as we thought we were. They're going to have to dig deep for this one.

Also, if Dan does win this week I think everyone needs to recognize the job he's done to get them back and focused against a hot team on the road right now. That's a tough, tough task.

You know how C34 is... Once he goes full out asshole on a coach/player/team, he stays there. C34 will remain negative about our football team until we have a new coach. At which point if that coach wins, he will take credit. If they don't win, then he'll wait for the next coach before he takes credit. However, C34 is not an emotional roller-coaster like many on here are. Once he feels a certain way about something, he pretty much stays that way. C34 is more like being diagnosed with something. For example, Doctor:"Sorry sir, but you have C34 disease." Anybody see Texas Tech Vs Arky? I did it was a great contrast of styles of offense. But Tech could stretch the field Vs the hogs ALL DAY LONG! They had a dual threat QB that made the safety play honest football all the while extending the field VERTICALLY in the passing game! Their DBs are suspect (even Auburn exposed them)! We will do the same! I know Manny will have to revert to a base 4-3 in this game (which does make me nervous) because Jackson just isn't good in coverage and when he is in coverage he misses too many tackles. This WILL be a big 12 type of game up and down the field but our DL are getting better each week and I don't think they've faced a DL unit like ours since Bama.

We MUST be smart with the football (no T.Os!) and Dak has got to work the check downs. They are going to drop in a zone coverage because they won't match up 1on1 with our WRs. Donald Gray & Ross will be KEY in this game offensively working the middle of the field.

We WILL be having little dooeys style pig once the clock hits zero! Put some BBQ sauce on that pig!

I "girdemup" back in 01 and 03. I would estimate there was a total of 200 State fans there each trip. 01...MattJones broke our heart. 03....the best part of that day was sipping a beer on Dixon St and watching Eli trip over his OL to dash their seccg hopes.
