I'll go 40-16 (17-13).

With this schedule 40 wins is a sure host and quite possible national seed. 36 probably is good enough in rpi as well, but we'd need to go 16-14 in conference on a technicality I'd think.

SOS is going to be #1 in the country this year, so rpi is going to flip into our favor...

We agree!!!!! I guess anything is possible... Lol. That schedule is brutal.

If our sos ends up #1 at year end then I will be very satisfied with 36-20. Would like to get on the plus side of a .500 conference record though. But I would be more inclined to guess 15-15.

Some tough games early.

Are we gonna start playing one or more non-conference games on the coast every year now?

Damn what a schedule. If we can just make it to the tourney, we'll definitely be battle tested. I personally like the tough slate in baseball, Bc it prepares you for SEC & postseason play, while giving you tons of chances to improve RPI throughout the year. Not to mention it giving young guys/pitchers big game experience right out of the gates. Makes them forced to grow up quickly.

Winning 35+ would be a great season with that schedule, and I agree that I think we can do it

In Biloxi? Probably so. That was a BIG selling point for them getting the city to approve building the stadium in the first place. Tim Bennett is the same guy that helped get the Braves and Trustmark Park to Pearl and that led to getting the Governor's Cup and the USM game away from Smith-Wills just a couple of years later once contracts expired. Bennett was involved in getting the Shuckers and Brewers to Biloxi.

I suspect all three in state schools will play at least one game there a year. And it will probably be someone like Louisiana-Monroe. Personal preference I do not want to play USM twice and I would prefer that game stay in Pearl. And no way MSU/Ole Miss will agree to play five times a year I wouldn't think.

What Bennett used to do in the early days of the Braves was he would get a buy out a home game between Samford, ULM, or someone like that that we had scheduled as a road game for us and move it to Pearl. Not sure that is the case with ULM, but it could be that we are the "road team". Bennett also has a lot more footing now than he did 10 years ago as well so it may very well be that we are the home team and he can just arrange it.

It will also piss off people when Cohen plays around with his lineup. That happens if someone isn't batting in the exact same spot everyday anyway though.

Also on Biloxi- USM plays South Alabama and Tulane there this year.

Ole Miss plays.....no one.
