For the beer lovers. There is a strong rumor going around that Southern Distributors just signed a contract to distribute Yeungling in MS. Can anyone confirm? It's blowing up on Facebook.

Question was asked of them on their twitter page. Sounds like it's a possibility per their response. (BTW, is there a trick to embedding tweets?)

Whenever we know something 100%, we'll let you know. RT @au98: What say you, @SouthernBevCo, any truth to the @Yuengling_Beer rumors?

Same here... I liked it for a time (2 six packs), but now not so much. Their 'Black & Tan' is just awful.

I like it for an everyday American style beer. Better than Bud, Coors or Miller - although I still enjoy a Banquet beer every now and then.
A lot of times I'll have a couple of IPAs or APAs and then switch to Yuengling.

Yuengling is great for tailgating in hot weather. It's not horrible tasting and its inexpensive.
I get excited when any new beers come into the state. I keep thinking Stone will soon because they have a large distribution area.

A guy that works for Southern Beverage is now on his Facebook saying its a done deal. Hope so. I love me some Yeungling. But I don't have a refined taste for beers or food. I can eat a $100 steak or Backyard Burger and be happy. I discovered Yeungling on a trip to Tybee Island while eating cheap fish tacos at Stingrays (the restaurant I don't know the guy) and it tasted pretty damn good with seafood while watching the sunset.

It's on the coast too but I haven't been over impressed with any of them, dale's ale was good I thought but nothing special to be honest.

What's some of your favorite American pale ales? Preferably something available in Memphis? Lately I've been drinking some Sweetwater 420. Pretty good beer.
You tried many of the Memphis brews? Wiseacre Anonda and Tiny Bomb have been my favorites.

I would assume his handle is one. That is my favorite. I also like Straight to Ale's Monkeynaught, Terripan Hopsecutioner, Serbia Nevada Torpedo, and Harpoon IPA to name a few.

It is not a rumor. You will be able to begin purchasing in Jan. Will be in bars on draft before it is off premise.
