FSU has a good class going (#6 according to 247 MSU #7). Apparently this didn't come out of left field. We've been on him for a few months. He mentioned us as 1 of his favorites a couple months back. Get the kid on campus & work your magic Howland.

If we can have a good turn out this weekend and get a good win I think we will have a good shot with this kid. Man this class is going to be 2004 squad good if not better. That's the last time I felt like we had a legit shot at atleast an elite 8 run. Except this time we actually have a recruiter that can coach!

Seems like he must want to stay somewhat close to home, if Miami & FSU are his leaders. Neither is that great at Basketball, so I would expect more powerhouses atop the list for such a highly rated guy. Isn't that a little strange? Or is that common in Hoops? (Malik had us...but he also listed UK & KU, for example)

Your last sentence is what separates us now....There's now several good recruiters in the SEC, but "great coaches that can recruit great" aren't nearly as common. See Johnny Jones, A&M's HC + Stands, etc.

He's already earned his $2.05 as far as I'm concerned. Obviously the raise won't happen till after the season but I would like Howland to be locked up for as long as possible. Mississippi only allows 4 year contracts as a max correct?
