He generally goes if it's a big-time recruit and it's a sure thing he'll pick State. I don't think he goes if it's up in the air, even if there's still a chance State gets the guy. So if he doesn't go out to Colorado, it might just mean no one's sure, not that Davis definitely won't pick State....though I don't expect Davis to pick State.

The only announcement I know of that he attended and the kid didn't pick State was for Kameron Wood, who purposely lied to State people to say he was going to State, then picked Ole Miss with Gene there.
