Right now on the Food Network, there is a kid from Starkville competing on the show "Chopped".

Yeah, he tragically overcooked his venison, but I feel for him, because that is most definitely a cultural thing in MS. I've never seen a southerner cook their venison medium to medium rare; it's always well-done, or battered and fried.
