I think it's his job if he wants it.

Id say Dabo, Pinkel, or Dantonio. Those are best fits.

Pinkel is too old and firmly embedded at Mizzou. It'll be one of the other two or Smart

Well, Chip Kelly's going to UNM to replace Freeze. It's true, they said so!

Dabo is never leaving Clemson. He's like Radio with that school.

Kirby would be the Smart choice unless the UGA job comes open first.

Gotta think Kirby would know if Nick was leaving.

That would be a bad hire for either Bama or UGA. He needs to go somewhere smaller and prove himself as a HC first.

Pretty sure Pinkel guaranteed that Missouri will be his last job this weekend.

Unless he went SWAC. Once you go SWAC you don't go back.

When things are going well, you promote from within. Smart is another defensive-minded coach that does things similarly to Saban. It's an easy decision in my mind. Business as usual.

I'd say the same for us, if Mullen was ever hired away. Of course, when coaches leave, often they take parts of their staff, so there could be no one left. But if we finish 10-2 this year and Mullen jumped jobs, I'd be willing to take a long hard look at Gonzalez, Hevesy or Diaz. Diaz would likely be the only one that would be left though, honestly.

I disagree. The key to Mullen's success has been his QB development, so I believe it's imperative that we hire another guy that can develop QBs at a similar level. If that's Gonzalez, then great. However, I don't really want to see a defensive minded head coach at MSU. I don't think that's the recipe for us
