Robert Dkimdechee could've been starting for #1 Clemson, anchoring a defensive line and playing for a possible National championship.

LaQuon Treadwell could've been playing for Jim Harbaugh and honing his pro skills, to possibly play for a B 1G championship...and be a #1 or #2 overall pick.

Laremy Tunsil could've anchored a Georgia line and may have made the difference between them being also-rans and contenders for the SEC championship.

Tony Connor could be playing for The Mississippi State University, developing his skills and playing full-time, instead of being sidelined by injuries because olemiss's Strength and Conditioning program left him vulnerable to injuries.

Even CJ Johnson could've stood up to the racist thugs who ripped his lanyard off in the 2011 Egg Bowl, and perhaps been in the 2-deep on MSU's defense that's still in contention for the SEC West championship. He could've been developed into a 1st Round pick at linebacker like Bernardrick McKinney, instead of languishing as a part-time injury-prone Defensive End.

However, because of personal greed and/or moral cowardice, they chose to go to a school where their skills languished. Their best bet would be to shut it down and get ready for the Combine. At best, they'll be ending their careers in Birmingham or Memphis.

Well, as a consolation prize at least they did end up with Nick Schuessler.

Treadwell would have gone to Ohio State before Michigan, and I don't think his skills have languished one bit. He's extremely talented and will be starting on an NFL team next year. As for the others, I agree that they could have matured into better players with more discipline and technique development. Look at Nick James for example..... he has completed a 180 in maturity and development. Can OM say that about any of their players?

It's sad really. Coaches like freeze fill these kids' heads with dreams by telling them just what they want to hear and then seal the deal with cash and a blow job from a recruit hostess that's sold her soul to the devil. Then thry get there and realize they were sold a pack of lies and made a decision on the short term instead of the long term and by then it's too late.

The network has created a perfect operation that takes advantage of 18 years old ignorance along with families in need. They finally have a coach who can be the hypocritical snake oil salesman mouthpiece that these kids actually believe. He tells every recruit they will start and get PT, and these kids apparently can't do the math that 25 recruits a year cannot all start. These young kids also view "white girls" and "Library Night" over looking into their future. Every one of them has been told how great they are and that they are the best that's ever played. No one is telling them the chances or making the league is slim and the lack of players OM has put in. At 18 you live for the moment and this has shown by the players they get. The majority of Bear players play for the moment and play for themselves. It's who they are because they recruit these types of players.

He could be catching passes for the Defending National Champions, presently the Number 2 team in the country, be on the Heisman Trophy short list, and maybe he wouldn't have torn up his leg on that crappy olemiss artificial turf.

You summed it up perfectly. The only thing I would add is they try to get an "in" or "champion" for whom they think the top recruits are going to be. Examples are the Tuohy family with Oher, Patterson's family member on their football staff, or in some cases it could simply be an uncle or a high school teammate. Denzel Nkemdiche is another example of this as well.

It's basically all about taking advantage of a player and their situation rather than doing what is best for the player.

Mutt might be the greatest Northern Miss troll in the history of MSU interwebs.
