Never heard about his violence against women until after his time at Ole Miss. Just what did they do to damage him so much?

the bigger question, Mutt, is why some chicks risk their physical safety for money....

They do it all the time. Some get beaten and drop charges later because of the meal ticket.

I think it's wrong how these women use these athletes... they should "check their gynecological privilege", IMO...

From what I understand, Hardy was always nuts.

Hardy was always a psychopath. He broke his hand in college punching a dumpster because a girl wouldn't go home with him. I have an ole miss friend who hates him because they were in college together and he said hardy was scum of the earth then

Wiki say:

"Hardy attended Briarcrest Christian School (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Briarcrest_Christian_School) in Memphis, Tennessee (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memphis,_Tennessee), where he was a three-sport letterman in football, basketball and track. In football (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_school_football), he helped lead his team to the state championship in 2004. As a senior, he was credited with 65 tackles (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tackle_(football_move)), including 12 for loss and six sacks (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quarterback_sack), while also receiving 48 passes for 268 yards. Hardy played with offensive tackle Michael Oher (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Oher) at both Briarcrest Christian School and Ole Miss.[2] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greg_Hardy#cite_note-2) In basketball (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_school_basketball), he was an honorable mention All-State as a junior."

What the hell is up with Ole Miss and that high school? Briarcrest Christian School in Memphis. Home of Bucky Freezus, Michael Oher, Greg Hardy and the Touhy's.

Dont know if the rest of you read the article on hardy's arrest and the girl but i say hardy is crazy like a fox. He knew that if he could call 911 befor she did and create enough doubt to create doubt in any court decision.

Of course, what the general public tends to do is assume that one side is the bad guy and the other is just an innocent victim. Whats most probable is that the mixture of these personalities was gunpowder. Neither are innocent. I just cannot fathom havung that much money and not vetting the people who have access to you.

I'll probably get blasted for this but the pictures of her bruises didn't look all that bad to me. Looked like she had one significant bruise on her back shoulder blade and they just showed that same bruise in 3 different pictures. Looks like a bruise you'd get from falling backwards onto something. I'm going to guess these two were drunk and had a drunk fight. Here's a life tip for women though. Don't want bruises on your body? Don't date disgusting huge angry men who think they are rap stars. I have zero sympathy for her. In my eyes she is worse than Hardy.

Well yeah, I'm not a piece of shit. I'm not saying she didn't potentially at least escalate the situation, but you are trying to justify him beating her up over an argument. That's never a justification.

Are we really questioning how A dirty cheating university covered up one of their better players beating women? Shit those cheating f*cks pay and cover up for players that never touch the field. Imagine what they are willing to do to prevent their work horses from getting exposed.

We can get into a whole slew of socioeconomic reasons and political reasons why kids from middle and upper economic families are far more likely to handle their finances and personal lives better when they make it big than kids from lower income families. But no need to get this moved to the political board.

Their parents probably do not know how to handle finances in the millions or manage investments. I would venture that a large portion of d1 athletes parents never even went to college at any level, some didn't even finish high school. A large majority of pro athletes could use 2-3 years of personal finance classes, investment classes, and business management classes. Those parents can not help them with the situations they are looking at in specifics. They can eatablish the bare essential sense of responsibility though. From that the future players will know to look for an education and assistance on managing the complexity of their financial needs.
