That's an impressive stat, I don't care how you look at it. He's coached some talented guys and made the most of them.

And he's coach at MSU. Never thought we'd have a coach with a record like that.

That is a pretty good observation. I would give some props to qb coach along with Mullen for Dak.

Sure, I wouldn't want to steal Coach Johnson's thunder. But I would also note that when Dak comes off the field during a game, he's talking to Mullen about what just happened.

You could also interpret it as "nobody has to ride one guy more than Dan" and that's why we get completely shut down by good teams. (not my opinion btw)

Drawing a blank. Who is the third other than Tebow and Dak?

Chris Leak played under Mullen and Meyer for two years.

In Johnson's defense, it would be hard for him to be seen talking to anyone on the sidelines since he is in the press box.

That's said, I think our QB development has gotten better with his hiring.

But it's crazy how much better our coaching staff has gotten over the past decade. In all sports.

True. But I went ahead and gave Mullen credit in the thread title because I know it will piss of Bear lurkers. Good times.....

Well if you must know my "dickhead" (and expert) opinion on why we get shut down by good defenses, it is because of Dan's ultra conservative philosophy in those games. Notice how our game-plan on the biggest stages looks nothing like our other games. Its just not in his nature to be as aggressive as needed against some teams.
