Guess he didn't want to work with the lady strength coach at Kansas.

Wonder if this is her*:

Here's a highlight clip to give you an idea of what he brings. Not the greatest video, but you can clearly see his size, strength, and athleticism.

Uses his body and positions himself very well.

Just so everyone knows we now have the #10 class in the country according to 24/7.

Yes, he does. He's obviously a good bit bigger than the other kids in that video, but he'll be a good bit bigger than a lot of the guys at the next level, too. If he can just get himself into great shape and develop some post moves, the sky is the limit for him.

And I'm pretty sure we were already at #10 or so on Rivals, so that should go up even further.

Refresh my memory, which uncommitted recruits is Herard close to?

I'm not sure how close any of these guys are, but I've read that he and Kegler have a relationship. I think they may both have one with De'Ron Davis, too, but not sure.

In any event, Ohmar Carter liked videos of Kegler, Herard, and Davis on YouTube about a week ago, which is when Tyson Carter committed.

Uses his body and positions himself very well.

I would have two rules for him from day one.

1. Bring the ball down below chest level. Run a mile.
2. Dribble more than once or in a non-power move to the hoop. Run a mile.

His go-to move of catch the ball, bring it down to his waist and jump will get destroyed at the college level. He also likes to dribble with no purpose in the lane - that will get stolen every time when surrounded by players with talent.

Ado apparently just announced he'd be visiting this weekend as well... And I'm assuming De'Ron is still coming as well...

Yep, Evan Daniels said both are visiting this weekend. Ado has said he'll wait until the spring, but we'll see. Could be huge.

Evan Daniels @EvanDaniels

Mississippi State now has the No. 5 recruiting class in 2016 with the addition of No. 39 Schnider Herard. They have 4 4-star recruits.

I think Kegler & Heron were an either/or kind of deal, never gonna get both, so i'll gladly take Kegler

It's just crazy to me that we may end up with a class in which, when just making a lineup of the class alone, we could have two 4-star, borderline top-100 recruits who would be 'backups'. That's nuts.

PG Lamar Peters - 6'0" 165; **** (between 75-100 overall)
SG Tyson Carter - 6'4" 170; **** (between 70-100 overall)
SF Mario Kegler - 6'7" 225; ****/***** (between 25-35 overall)
PF De'Ron Davis - 6'9" 235; **** (between 35-50 overall)
C Schnider Herard - 6'10" 260; **** (between 35-45 overall)

C Abdul Ado - 6'11" 235; **** (between 75-105 overall)
SG Eli Wright - 6'4" 170; ***/**** (between 110-140 overall)

That would be crazy in all areas: talent level, size, depth, and each position covered.

I would like to see a thread started exclusively for butt hurt tweets regarding our hoops class. ..since I don't tweet, can't do it myself
