This is pretty embarrassing for him if true. It follows the narrative though. I remember after the Memphis game where he said that five different times he had the perfect play called but the team didn't execute.

This kind of stuff doesn't reflect positively on the guy. I don't know how they can keep defending stuff like this.

ETA: Contrast to Mullen, who comes out and owns mistakes, like the pooch kick before halftime, or the delay of game penalty against LSU.

Short answer: yes

Reality is that to some people money is all that matters. Decency, honesty, and dignity mean absolutely nothing. They and their family don't care as long as they get theirs.

If we're being totally honest about what they do- they are basically taking advantage of kids and families that are disadvantaged for Ole Miss's gain. See CJ and Tunsil among many others.
