ala Cal/Stanford..........

Miami got away with a block in the back on their own 15. How the refs missed it I don't know. The players were spread out all over and not even going full speed at the time. Very obvious. Cut will be sick when he watches the film.

He ain't the coach anymore. His long time OC that they are trying to get the full time gig didn't do himself any favors with that choke job.

On the replay I watched they threw a flag and called block in the back. What happened?

were legit and all the questionable blocks were borderline at best. Most appeared to be clean to me. The question came down to whether or not the one guy was down when he lateraled it. It was close but I guess there wasn't enough evidence to overturn it. The ref was right in front of it as well and he didn't call it. I hate it but the play seemed to be legit.

Well we move up another spot in the polls.

Assuming wash state doesn't beat Stanford and jump us. Wouldn't surprise me if unc jumps us... We get no respect. Doesn't matter anyway bc the real poll comes out this week I believe

Just now got a chance to see the replay of the Duke/Miami play. One other thing besides the multiple blocks in the back that no one has mentioned is that the 'U' had a player come off the bench and onto the field during the play. This guy without a helmet is sprinting on to the field and is at the 5 yard line while the ball carrier is at the 2 and hasn't crossed the goal line.

A block in the back is above the waist and between the shoulder Blades. Did not see a block in the back on that play.

That was the worse time management at the end of a game I have EVER seen..
College coaches turn into pop warner coaches when it comes to time management ...

The guy with the helmet off would have been a dead ball un sportsman ship penalty.would not have changed the TD.

I think the play should have been called dead when the guy had his knee on the ground before lateraling the ball. Anyway, I guess justice prevailed because I don't think the Duke QB scored with 8 seconds left. Didn't appear to me the ball crossed the goal.

Look at the :32 second mark and tell me that was not a block in the back on the 15 yard line. The Miami player (#22) blocked the guy into the guy who had the ball last. If the refs are watching the player with the ball, tell me how they missed seeing this? It wasn't like the players were going full speed at the time. On a play like this, unless they are sprinting downfield in the open, they are going no more than 3/4 speed. Nobody can convince me that was not a block in the back.

After the game, they went to the studio. Can't remember they analyst name. Black guy who I think played at UCLA. He pointed out the instance that I'm talking about and said that was not a block in the back because it was a "push down". Dumbest statement I have ever heard. I guess you can push someone down from behind, but you just can't block them from behind.

Actually it would have been a live-ball foul for illegal substitution and a re-kick with the 'U' penalized 5 yards.
