Howland said he had turf toe at Media Day yesterday. Didn't give a timeframe & he's been doing some light work in practice. Turf toe is all about pain tolerance. I don't expect him to miss the opener.

Ok. This was reported from him speaking at the qb club. Was told he said only 8 players practicing right now. Better now than February I suppose.

The ghost of Rick Ray continues to haunt us. Even affecting the football team now with multiple players blowing out knees, even in practice. Guess it hexed Newman too.

You can't casually minimize turf toe. Yes it's about pain, a pain you can't pretend isn't there, period.

Yeah, and turf toe is a real bitch if you've ever had it. I don't expect him to miss any games, but it's going to be painful for Malik for about the first month of the season.

It's sprained ligaments, it's not nothing.

I want him to do whatever it takes to make sure he doesn't deal with it for long. I'd rather him miss a game or two early and get rid of it than to have it linger on.

I don't disagree fellas. All I'm saying is that he will be fine in the long run.
