Must be based on last season. But nowadays it seems that the media arbitrarily considers OM better than us at everything.

Last season, plus the fact that they know UM fans are all about lists and less about actual results. They need subscriptions.

I don't think they put a number on it but it's for the past few years. OM has been to regional etc more than we have.

Don't worry. We have great talent now and committed plus the new stadium. We will win.

I'm surprised about LSU's ranking. They literally lost every position player from last year..... I guess their pitching is really that good.

This isn't a ranking for this year, it's an overall ranking of programs in general.

There's no doubt they have taken over as the top program the last decade. Not sure why people would question it.

D1 took into consideration the following in compiling their program rankings: past 5 years results, coaching staff quality, facilities, scholly/financial aid situation, conference dynamics and recruiting and player development proficiency. MSU was ranked 21 and OM at 18. The top 21 in order if ranking are: (1) Vandy (2)UVA (3) Florida (4) UCLA (5) LSU (6) Louisville (7) TCU (8) Oregon St (9) South Carolina (10) North Carolina (11) Florida St (12) Arkansas (13) Miami (14) Texas A&M (15) Texas (16) Arizona st (17) CSF (18) Ole Miss (19) OK St (20) Rice (21) MSU

Similar to when Auburn ran off a stretch of Iron Bowls. The cream eventually rose as it should here. The guys we are bringing in leave no excuse for us to struggle.

I agree. Time to take our rightful place back

We sorta did, or at minimum, it's in the process of happening. Kids that grew up during the 2000s were Ole Miss baseball fans, now we've corrected that terrible trend.

And remember, in their most glorious decade ever, we out-performed them. Their 2014 run was rather fluky and personally, I think it signaled the last gasp effort from Bianco to retain control.

I'm getting way too impatient waiting for the new stadium, and some consistent results in baseball.

Past five years results:

Ole Miss- One CWS appearance, one SEC West title, one regional host and one SR appearance all in 2014 and made four regionals.

MSU- One CWS appearance and made finals, two SR appearances, one SEC Tournament Title, four regional appearances and one host.

Our facilities are roughly equal and ours are about to get a lot better.

There's no difference between 18 and 21....that's hair splitting...I don't see why TSUN was ranked higher; however, there is a gap between the top 7 and everyone else...

Because they know our fans will actually discuss it.

If drafting players is a additive than they win that. More players drafted in last 5 years.

Now that we've decided to sign higher ranked talent which is riskier on draft day we will start to take off. You will see this when these freshmen figure it out. Now we are building each class like this. 2016 might not be big in numbers but 2017 will be special.

They have been the best program since Polk II.

I hate it but the results don't lie.

Kendall Rogers has definitely found a niche in trolling MSU baseball fans.

I think the problem is that that we had one really, really bad year.

Its like bombing one portion of the ACT. Last year was a trainwreck. Cohen's SEC record the last five years: 72-78; Bianco :76-73;

So basically the same, with a slight edge to the midget.
