There's a reason why Saban comes off as a huge asshole when talking about football. When you get the decorated athletes that are told they are the best since junior high, they're going to act however the want. Saban has found a way to keep egos like Reuben Foster, Da'Shawn Hand, Rashaan Evans, and others at bay. Sumlin has no clue how to manage the egos on his team. Sure, he can deflect questions from the media. But if he loses that locker room, he'll lose the team.

Thanks for the article. I wondered what the hell was going on last night in Oxford. That was a shell of what we watched the first month from them. Now I get it. Bama broke them and the result is personality issues, locker room problems, etc. Stick a fork in them, they are done. What a shame we played them prior to this year's come-apart.

There's a video starting to circulate showing a possible Kevin Sumlin drunk, and fans are saying he is a known alcoholic, so USC will not touch him with a mile long pole at this point

Couple of things:

1. Nothing excuses any player for going full F Bomb on a coach. Nothing, except physical contact.

2. It's a shame that MSU didn't get to play this A&M. Sometimes it's not about who you play, it's about when you play them. Gotta believe Diaz and Mullen may have written up a more aggressive defensive game plan had they known of these internal issues.

Kelly threw 3 INT's and OM had a fumble, yet A&M couldn't execute on any of the turnovers. Both teams looked out of sync and uninspired. Bama clearly destroyed A&M's confidence, and I also believe Memphis destroyed OM's. We'll see how they play against Auburn next week.

You should never cuss at a coach but this is why you don't make recruiting promises. Everybody gets mad at Mullen for not kissing ass to recruits & telling them what they want to hear. It's a reason we rarely have any situations like this & it's because Mullen is upfront with kids & don't sell false dreams & idol promises.

These type of things can destroy a program. If a coach loses a team and their respect, that can bleed over for years.

Totally agree. Sumlin got nervous that Murray was going to transfer to Texas and jumpstart that program. So he promised him the world, all the while he had Kyle Allen returning at QB.
