It is saying something when a guy is having an off night because he only has 3 hits but no homer. The guy is money right now. I hate it for the lovable losers especially since I am a Braves fan and the Mets can suck a dick.

He certainly is making a great case for it. Historically, I lack the knowledge to compare anything prior to the mid 90s on individual performances.

I do, however, remember Carlos Beltran in 2004 hitting 8 homers in the NLDS/NLCS combined. Everything off his bat that October was a rocket. Luckily, my Cardinals still won that NLCS and then got hammered by Boston in the series.

Now Daniel Murphy is the only player to homer in 6 straight games. He is now 2 games away from the regular season record for most consecutive games with a homer.

Making a case for a new Mr. October. Better watch out Reggie!
