View Full Version : So Aggie fans were aiming laser pointers at Dak when we played them?

Just noticed the article about it on MWN. That's totally fukked up.

That sure looks like one. It doesn't appear to have bothered Dak though. If it had I'm sure we would have heard something about it by now from our side.

The lights from the jumbotrons at every stadium they play at have to be more distracting than that.

Well you can still see with the jumbotron on. A laser will blind you completely for a few seconds if it shines directly into your pupil, even damage the eye if it stays there long enough. This isn't about getting distracted.

ETA: Well I see your point now. I was thinking they were being pointed into his eyes, which they may have been doing. Yeah, a jumbotron would certainly be more distracting, I guess. I would expect the jumbotron though. A green laser would get my attention, but I guess that's one reason out of a million that I'm not an SEC quarterback.

Some laser pointers available for sale in the US prior to Jan 1, 2015 are powerful enough to blind. Not temporarily. Permanent vision damage.

The sale of those have been banned in the US. Still available overseas and on the black market.

Yeah, I meant if they were just being flashed around on the ground. Obviously, if they are being flashed in his eyes, that is a serious problem and should be addressed immediately by the Aggie athletic department. (as it is, they should probably still address it)

Depending on local laws it could also be illegal. Not considering local laws, it could potentially be construed as a form of assault or battery. Either way, not smart given Texas A&M's history of gun violence.

Also....testing out my first signature real fast. To make it relevant. Texas A&M is weird. Their laser wielding fans are not as weird as their male cheerleaders though.

Well lets hope no Jet Airliner flys over the jumbotrons because the FAA seems to get their dicks broken over those lazers..

That punter looks like a fish out of water when he hits the ground.

Think you are confusing A&M with University of Texas.

No I'm not.

But, yes, UofT had one also in the 60's or something along those lines.

I just can't stop watching it. I'm pretty sure that's a mid-air, helmet-to-dick, spear tackle. A rare tackle indeed.
