Believe it or not, here is a REAL story linking Ole Miss, a phone number and an escort service (sort of).

Years ago (mid 90's) before everyone had the interwebs, a group of ladies that worked in the admin office at Armstrong Middle School were thinking about college and their kids. Since they live here in Starkville, they were already familiar with everything State. Some of them got to wondering about Ole Miss and what they had to offer but had no idea how to find out information about them. One of them had the thought that 1-800-OLE-MISS would be a logical number to call to reach the college so they called it and were greeted by a recording of a husky, two pack a day female voice saying "Hi. Welcome to our lesbian hotline....." Of course this news spread like wildfire through Starkville until the number was changed about a week later. I would not have believed it if I didn't try it myself.
