Our Young RB's

Good to see the young guys get a lot of reps today with Shump out. Holloway still got a few too many, but I liked seeing the younger guys get work.

That said, I think on of our issues is that Mullen seems to have a VERY quick hook on the young guys when they make a mistake. Case in point: one of our young guys (I think it was Lee, but I'm not sure anymore) had a lot of great carries, but as soon as he fumbled it out of bounds, he was yanked and didn't see the field again.

I know the FR's and RSF's are making mistakes, but I think Mullen needs to recognize that they are young and let them work through it rather than benching them as soon as they make their first mistake.

I think everyone in the stadium knows that the freshmen are the key to our running game here on out. It's amazing what holes just magically appear when they are in the game.
