MSU 2012 commit Malaysha Flanders didn't get through the NCAA clearinghouse. He was a preferred walk-on but a nice prospect (6'3 200, good speed) out of Illinios. He's enrolling at Jireh Prep in North Carolina.
For a little background, when Hargraved closed in April, I got in touch w/Jireh's staff and had a long phone convo with their HC Scott Smith and I wrote a piece on their program for 3rdAnd57. I really liked coach smith and the attitude of their staff. Class acts. It's not a military institution like Hargrave or GMI. It's all academics and football with no marching. Pretty cool to see one of our guys end up there knowing what I know about their program. Hopefully we can use them regularly for guys who didnt qualify.
