View Full Version : So the Falcons use zone blocking, is that what our Oline should look like?

It looks like a RB would need to be able to see the hole opening rather than running to where it should be.

Zone blocking isn't the problem. The problem is either the ones doing the zone blocking or who is teaching them zone blocking. I think it's the ones blocking

Yes our O-line should look like an NFL O-line**

I was thinking more along the line of our RB needs good vision with this blocking scheme.

For us it's a combination of things. Shumpert and holloway both struggle to read the blocks and also can't make the first guy miss. Sometimes we are also bit reading the defense right and that makes it look worse. But we aren't blocking very well either and this not creating a bunch of lanes. We are getting zero push and are more often getting pushed back.

Part if me wonders if it's solely the players or if we are missing calling out assignments properly. Only guys I see consistently blocking well are bear and Johnson
