Some quick thoughts..

Our running game has a lot more to deal with the two guards then anything. Go watch this replay when it comes on. They play soft and play lazy. They don't want to be out there. When the pull they don't run through their guys and as we called it in high school "titty block" with the DL. That's a lot on Hev, but he is a dang good coach in my opinion. I think it's Mullen wanting his older guys to play.

Jenkins, Clayborne, and Senior looked good today. I'm ready to see Calhoun and Flowers take a lot snaps next year.

Shump, thanks for helping our class rating; but you are not a RB. You are a Patrick Hannhan, Brandon Hart guy. Let's move him to a HBack/TE. I think he can play that role very very well. We need to let ATrain and Lee get the carries with Dear getting the jet sweeps. Holloway got Killed in pass pro today...by Dak stepping to the side. We can't have that.

For the love of this program; PLAY DONALD GRAY. Ross, Brown, and Wilson are the same type WR. Let Gray play over Brown. The two catches he has had at home this year with guys on his back have been ridiculous. You aren't suppose to catch those. Play the guy more. Get him in the game plan. He will win us games, Mullen.

Also on D, thank you for starting Nelson Adams today. He does what he has to do. Not flashy but he will give you really good effort and can play mutiple downs unlike James. James is a 3rd down specialist. Chris Jones, there is no way you should leave after this year. 1st round talent, but you need to start dominating games and taking over. Not get pushed around by Troy. AJ Jefferson, thank you for playing with some emotion and giving it everything you have.

Agreed on Chris Jones and Donald Gray. People have been telling Chris how good he is and it may be going to his head. There are times that I simply don't notice him on the field and people don't need to use the "He's getting double teamed every snap" argument. He simply just turns it on when he wants to. Donald Gray doesn't know 100% of the playbook. Therefore, he can't play. He has sick ability and Mullen needs to get his ass on the field.

I agree. He wants to play slot, that's fine. I understand to get these type of guys you have to play them where they want. It's part of recruiting better, but heck can the kid not see his future is at RB not a Slot WR?! If he doesn't know the plays, dummy it down. Run right, run left. Sweep left, sweep right. No doubt the coverage was better, but you can't deny the ability. It's up to the coaches to get these guys ready to play. We cannot sign JUCO guys to come in and redshirt or barely play. Otherwise, don't sign them.

The coverage on both his big catches this year was good... Too good on the first one (PI). Fitz did something today on his long td's that I wish Dak would do more... Throw it deep to our guys when they're facing man-to-man defense.

I remember a preseason interview. I recall it was Gonzales but I'm not 100%.

The quote about Gray was "he catches everything thrown to him."

I'm a believer. Put him on the field and throw it to him until he doesn't catch one.
