You know, in most states the statewide local media would be digging like crazy on this stuff. Interesting that it's not happening here. Well, except for the guy that had to "change jobs" because he did.

I thought it sounded fishy that a master recruiter couldn't sell his own players on staying. Especially as thin as they are at CB. If you can get a guy to commit over the phone.. you can convince him to stay.

Really Clark?

Part of me wishes they hold off making the formal charges to right before signing day and another part wants it happen right now and watch them start to burn and eat each other. That place and football team is getting close to being primed for a meltdown.

They better hope that the staff has covered their trail. Show causes all around sounds more and more likely with each crumb that gets dropped. I'm also interested to see how much time CJ "misses" because of the knee scope. Not saying he didn't need it as I'm sure he did and by itself I don't question it. But the names of players sitting games, quitting, injuries, etc. Either Karma is out for blood or the coincidences just seem too much. Or both. That's the conspiracy theories in me though.

I was wondering the same thing regarding Tunsil; will they have to vacate wins from the past 2 seasons for games he played in?

The vacating of previous wins only come into play if it is proven that the staff knowingly played an ineligible player.

I have a friend that lives a few houses down from Shepard. He says that Shepard lives with a few other players, and that it is a rental home. I have no idea if he actually pays the rent there or not. It's not in a fancy neighborhood though.

Uh, I would think knowing you illegally recruited him would be a pretty obvious clue that he should be ineligible.

Maybe - but UNM will then use the logic that since they vacated all their wins that none of their defeats counted either and POOF - a new 'UNDEFEATED SEASON - ASSOCIATION OF SOUTHERN WRITERS NATIONAL INELIGIBLE CHAMPIONS!" banner. That will be next season's new marketing slogan.

Proven. What can be proved that the staff were a part of any illegal benefits or a cover up of those benefits that would have ruled the player ineligible and they played them anyway.

Will be interesting to see if we start seeing players dropped off the roster as the NCAA works through the list. Normally they don't force action until their findings are published.

I want them announced yesterday. They get hit with serious allegations at any point this season and it will still destroy recruiting as well as drop that match in the gasoline filled dumpster for this season.

Sorry to be obtuse, but are you saying that the bears sacrificed him in effort to appease the NCAA? Or the NCAA told the bears Tee is no longer eligible to play football?

I think the main thing the Bears are trying to do is to keep everything as quite as possible. Doesn't really matter the what or why that's coming out. They just want to control how things are reported and to keep the lid closed on everything as long as possible. I think they know exactly how long Tunsil is going to have to sit or if he is done at UNM. They just don't want anyone else to know to keep their season and class alive as long as possible. All their fans that keep berating the NCAA for taking so long to announce Tunsil need to look at how much the school is also stonewalling the keep up appearances.

Golson got outta there in a hurry and left for Auburn, he was part of this class too. You don't just give up a year of eligibility bc you're a little unhappy, you make the most of it.

I wonder if he saw the writing on the wall two years ago.

I did. He said that's the house he lives with Terry Caldwell in. He lives in the exact same type house and the rent is 400 per bedroom. 2 bedroom house. I have no idea if Tee pays rent....or had the house given to him.
