Glad it wasn't called because I didn't need Stafford to get more points fantasy wise. It could have actually affected the outcome because sometimes the pointy-ended ball is surprisingly hard to catch. He might have mufffed it if he'd attempted the legal play of grabbing it. Detroit might have recovered the ball. Football is so epic. KJ is a Dawg forever, helping an old fan win his fantasy matchup.

The rule is dumb to begin with. If you are smart enough to bat the ball out then you should be rewarded, not penalized. That's just good situational awareness IMO.
