So I've checked out two preseason college basketball magazines so far, and both of them had a small women's preview as well. SLAM Magazine ranked State 9th, and Athlon ranked us 6th. Just thought I'd share. Basketball has a chance to be really fun this year.

BTW, Athlon had us 7th in the SEC and in the NIT in men's. It seems like most have us no worse than that.

We're gonna be bad ass, big time publicity for MSU, people just don't realize how important women's hoops is for branding in the new sec network era.

We need the new one from Texas to play with the men to help us in the post this season. She'd be a better 4 than anyone on the team except Gavin

Contention for or winning NC's in any sport, men's or women's, helps immensely with the school's brand and perception. Certainly the big three men's sports are going to have the most overall impact but to win in the women's biggest sport would be a nice boost as well. Our softball, volleyball and basketball recruiting are beginning to make a significant impact on the national levels, some of that recognition of brand could well open some doors or garner interest from male athletes that are friends, school mates or relatives of women recruits and signees.

Just an fyi since I haven't seen it anyplace. Lady dog's softball whipped OM yesterday 11-1. Love beating them in anything.

Certainly can't hurt.

Those girls were were a feel good story all last year. They are about to generate more positive publicity for us this year. Not to mention being fun to watch.

They are are definitely an asset to Mississippi State University and our image.
