2013 MSU Football Video....

Pdawg has agreed to put together a video that is going to be custom made by the members of this board. Hopefully we can get some good ideas together.

To start, we'll need some background music. Then, we'll need SEVERAL clips from last season, fans, coaches speech clips, Davis Wade pics, etc.

If there's something you think needs to be in the video, post the idea or link or pic in this thread. Once we get several days of ideas, we can go through and choose the top ideas as a group and then pdawg can put it together. (I think pdawg and slick could probably work together on it since both do great videos and have chosen great clips and know where to find them....but that's up to them.)

I think it would be cool to have an EliteDawg created video, so if anyone has some other good ideas with this, throw it out there.

Please. This. I've always wanted to see a highlight video to this. Would be epic. Needs a bunch of B roll with fans though. Also would need to a progressive shot that shows the stadium filling up. Everytime they say "please come inside" it could show the stadium getting more and more full. with the end of the video the stadium packed a rocking. Put some big hits at the key moments throughout, sprinkle that Florida chick's face in there when he says "your jaws will be on the floor."

Short version of the script:
Dan Mullen shot at the 24 second mark. "would you bring your attention to me."
that crackback block in a bowl game a few years ago at the 28 seond mark. "an explosion of catastrophe."
roll that straight into Banks picking off Tebow for a hundo to the house
cut to the smoke and team running out as it says "watch closely as I open this door" around the 36 second mark
the Florida chick as it says "your jaws will be on the floor" around the 38-40 second mark
then show the fans going nuts when it says "after this you'll be begging for more."

Throw some Nick Bell and/or his mom in there, celebrations, fans, etc... on the slow parts and boom, you;ve got a hit.

I think we need to end it with a good ole Wrap it in maroon and white from Jack. But I also think we need some audio clips and maybe a Mullen speech clip in there. Most of the great videos have talking over the music, especially during the quiet parts or as the music is building.

This video was pretty good. I like the slow mo clips, and I really like the clips of Bumphis motioning his hands after the TD...that kind of shit gets people pumped up. Kinda like the old Dicenzo shoulder shake.

Since this song came out, I thought it would make a perfect highlight video. Just little clips of maybe pregame stuff and fans through the first verse and then a big hit or touchdown and all the highlights right when the chorus starts.

It's called Duel of The Fates, by John Williams. To me it would be cool to have some play by play by Jim Ellis over some of the soft parts like at around 16 seconds into the song.

I think it would be cool if the video kind of told a story about our last season, with most of it us kicking ass to start the season. Then maybe add in us faltering a while. Meanwhile throw in flashes of us getting pumped up for this year, and working hard. Maybe even fans getting prepared. I don't know how this last part would work exactly. If anyone had videos of the team working out or practicing hard, it could be flashed over the part of us not doing so well at the end of the season as if to show we are coming back bigger and stronger and more prepared, while ending with the vid with some serious looking sweat covered player(s) staring down the camera... Not sure about the ending, but it definitely needs to end strong. A good video like this should always leave you pumped about what's to come.

It's hard to explain how I see this in my head, so it may be easier if you could just read my mind.

Yea, I think it would be awesome to play that clip during one of the quiet parts of the song, where we can turn Brad Nessler's call up and let that clip play all the way through. The crowd was insane on that play.

you can inject other shots and clips between the return too. Show Tebow get hammered, then a different defensive play (ddp), then the tip and the Banks tip, then ddp, then the first part of the return, then ddp, then the cut back, then ddp, then him strolling into the end zone. I think the flash backs like that are cool.

Dawg21 has the right idea. I don't think you need a bunch of highlights. Those videos are the boring ones. Slow motion shots are the key. Just focus in on McKinney or someone for 4-5 seconds even to the point that he's standing still so long as it flows with the music.

I like the idea of audio of Jack Cristil at the end. Also some raw crowd noise.

It needs to tell a story. Just flashing a bunch of highlights is forgettable. If you start out in the weightroom, practice field, Junction, Dawg walk, cowbells, running out on the field, crowd, on the field shots, Mullen, the grass - I do all that before a highlight play. The do Banks ripping the ball out vs. UT, then show a TD run (so mo when he jukes or something), then super slow on mojo's back of the endzone TD.

Prescott's Tebow play first drive vs. LSU, Russell throwing a nice pass, Wells TFL vs. Auburn. But most in slow mo or anything but regular speed.

Be sure to include Perkins' over-the-shoulder basket catch TD against Arkansas last year. The one where the defender ripped his facemask and held his arm, but he still made the catch.
