This storm has certainly blown up in the last 24 hours. Joaquin has gone from Tropical Storm to Category 3 Hurricane in about 24 hours. Joaquin is currently moving towards the Bahamas, then he will make an abrupt turn to the North and make a trek towards the East Coast. Current projections have Joaquin peaking Thursday afternoon as a Category 4 and making U.S. landfall as a Category 2.
