I did. Was very excited and left disappointed. When you compare it to Depp's other true crime movies, Donnie Brasco and Blow, it doesn't compare. It's an average movie and didn't match my expectations whatsoever.

Yes it's good if you know the story of Whitey Bulger already. I highly recommend watching the documentary on Netflix called Whitey: USA v. James J. Bulger. It does a much better job explaining the connection and corruption between the FBI and Bulger and it also explains the conspiracy surrounding the case.
