Needs surgery on his meniscus. Likely done for the season. Time for that BearShark depth to show itself.

Thought a month. Has that been revised?

I heard it was only for 4-5 games ... must be worse that previously thought ... He was the only one that I liked over there

Just my guess. If it needs surgery, I think a month is very optimistic. Regardless, we're going to get a look at the Northern Miss defensive depth.

Nafoom said that it was ok, because their wives were up and walking in less than one day...... Since gingerly walking and playing football is the exact same physical exertion (sp? )

Meniscus surgery will require anywhere from 4-8 weeks to recover- depending on the type of tear

Their wives are probably tougher than their men.

He might be able to play on it- but I bet it will hurt like hell.

Exactly. It depends on how severe it is and how the person heals plus how they do in rehab.

Everyone and every injury is different.

Really hate to hear that for the kid. He's got NFL in his future.

Gambling/injury site says 4-6 weeks.

Around that 4-6 week period is up, I wonder is Connor will push it to get back on the field? Is there chance of re-injury if not completely healthy?

That's always a risk with any injury that isn't completely healed. Since he is a football player, yes- he will push it or be forced to push it to get back on the field. It's the nature of the meat grinder that is football. Right or wrong.

I was thinking of from the nfl draft perspective.

It depends on type of tear/location then what type of surgery he has. Meniscectomy vs meniscal repair. Meniscectomy is 4-6 weeks and meniscal repair is 6 months. Repair is better for long term health, athletic ability and decreases risk of future arthritis.
