This Week in GA Commits, McEachern (2-1), takes on Lovejoy (1-2) in the last week of non-region matchups.
MSU commit Christian Roberson and the Indians will host the Lovejoy Wildcats in what should be an interesting game. These two teams matched up in 7-3 battle last year that was ultimately won by McEachern.
Lovejoy comes in having lost 2 straight by a combined total of 9 points, but have only allowing 19 pts. a contest. They are led by QB Hajj-Malik Williams and RB Zion Curtis. Lovejoy has an impressive offense - racking up 467 yards in a loss last week against Hillgrove.
The key to this game will be turnovers. McEachern had 4 last week and Lovejoy had 5 in their respective losses. Both teams have to reverse that trend.
McEachern has been struggling with the passing attack after losing WR Tyler Smith to a knee (UGA commit). Christian has been a non-factor in three games - with 2 catches for 11 yards. If McEachern struggles again this week, fans may start to question the hype about the Indians. Region play starts next week, and McEachern is in one of the toughest in the state.
