Four of us are going to Auburn for the first time next weekend. What are some things to do, places to eat, places to stay, etc. I'm pretty sure everything is probably booked up but maybe another city you recommend to crash.

Stay in Birmingham! Don't spend money in Auburn! Nothing is good there anyway!

Yep. Stay in Birmingham. And as far as what to do when you get there, its a pretty compact small town so its not too hard to find everything. Just park somewhere off campus and walk to everything.

Get yourself a lemonade from Toomer's Drug Store. Then, when it's done running through your system, go take a piss in Toomer's Corner.

For craft beer and liquor, go to the taproom at Red Clay Brewing (http://redclaybrewingcompany.com/beers-and-ciders.html) and the tasting room at John Emerald Distilling Company (http://www.johnemeralddistilling.com/page1.html). Both are in Opelika. I haven't visited either of them, but I interviewed the Red Clay founder for a FWTCT post last year (read it here (http://www.forwhomthecowbelltolls.com/2014/10/7/6931947/ingesting-the-opposition-week-7-red-clay-brewing-company?_ga=1.249704770.533997029.1441897241) if you're interested) and he seemed like a great guy. Both places are open on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, I believe. (I actually think they're next door to one another, too.)

While you are there, pick up a large bottle of Pepto and get prepared for something devistating to happen to MSU on the last play of the game. The Pepto will help on the ride home.

I'd recommend Montgomery, as well
