For those who keep up, 247 sports reporting 4 star lb Keith Holcombe has committed. Solid pickup

Took a 4* right out of Tuscaloosa. I wonder if this has ever happened before.

Yep. Big get. Kid is big time. I picked him as 1 of the guys to watch out for a commitment earlier today on the blog in a thread below :gloating over:

..raided the state of Alabama for baseball recruits & used them to finish #2 in the nation.

I like any athlete (baseball, football, basketballl) than MSU can draw from the state of Alabama.

Them Alabama fellers know how to play sports. (Shout out to Chris Relf).

I just watched his video. The guy likes to hit people and it looks like his coverage skills are pretty good for a high school player. Very nice pick-up.

So if we get Green then would be our 2 for LB. Both big kids and fast just what you need at LB --

Then factor in the browns and we've got a hell of a lb group for the future

Is the Grenada LB a priority? I figure he's a little smaller than what we seem to be going for in LBs now.

Harris could be a TE, drop some weight and be a SS, but more than likely sticks at LB. He's got an NFL body.

Don't forget Cooper from Georgia

I think the in state kids are just not good enough this year. The Avery and White kids may end up at USM.

Holcombe's video reminded me of KJ Wright. Tall athletic kid that could hit. Cant remember the last time we beat AL and AU for a four star kid out of Tuscaloosa. Imagine if Mullen could recruit?

Not to downplay him but if his Dad played at Alabama and he committed to State, Alabama didn't want him.

I was curious as to why Bama may not have wanted him. Later on, I found out he has Type 1 diabetes. That's probably why Bama didn't want to take a chance on him if I had to guess.

Yeah I noticed that yesterday. Kid actually had some kind of pump or diabetes device on his shorts. I liked him even more when I saw that. And during individual drills he killed it. Lots of love from Collins for him during them..
