We are all bitching and moaning losing to LSU with a chance to win on a missed FG, and we should have won. However, it could be much much worse. Thank you Dan Mullen for bringing us all to the point where we are upset about a close loss to LSU. He may be hard headed and have some baffling moves, but damn how far out of the cellar he has brought us and is continuing to build State up. Again thank you Dan Mullen, with him as a coach at least now we all know we have a shot in pretty much every damn game we play, glad he is the man in charge!

One more of the biggest things I have noticed is we are in excellent shape physically. In both games, we looked fresh in the 4th Q, which is pretty amazing considering how long our defense was on the field at usm and how ultra-physical lsu was. I feel it has really stood out in both games and not so for both our opponents.

LSU had less than 100 yards passing because they chose to run the ball. They could've thrown for 400 yards if they wanted to. It's clear that Miles doesn't trust his QB to throw it, but they were 9-14 with a lot of wide open receivers. They also had a perfectly-thrown long TD pass called back on penalty. Let's not pretend that our defense took away their passing game.

Yes we are moaning about losing. Its because we SHOULD have won. We are moaning because in the last 4 meaningful games, we have lost. The reasons we have are the same. We even flirted with disaster with USM from the same issues. We have become conservative in the first 20 minutes of the game and its costing us!

Dan's take on it was that he wouldn't have been happy even if we made the field goal. He said in the post game that if we had made the field goal, we still would be sitting here with the same problems; we just wouldn't feel as bad. I think a lot of our problems have to do with playcalling at this point. On both sides of the ball.

And while it's not the only problem, our offensive line is a hot mess right now. I know Hevesy will get it fixed, but I'd much rather see them ready to play than having to learn and improve on the fly. It's not like we're running freshmen out there.

I'd prefer they threw for 400 than have two guys bull rushing everyone. Fournette is a man child. Wish he was leaving after this year.
