Out with a neck issue

Big loss for Rebs. They have depth, but he was unique and allowed them to create mismatches.

Hate anybody to go down due to injury. That is a big loss.

Hope we don't lose anybody, especially on the d-line.

Unlike most of their players, this guy seemed like a good guy. Nkimd gets the cred but this guy just does work. Hate to hear it for him.

Any chance of medical redshirt?

Any chance of medical redshirt?

I think he played as a freshman. If so he still has a redshirt year he can use this year.

Does that depend on if he played the first game? I was under the impression the new rule says you can't play *any* snaps to call it a standard redshirt year.

ETA: Also hate to hear of injuries to any player, regardless of team. Hope he recovers quickly.

Neck injuries can be tricky also. I hope he comes back healthy. Anybody playing DT in the SEC at 240 or 250 lb deserves respect.

Gross has been playing through this injury since last season. Y'all are right, he's a class act. It sucks that Northern Miss wouldn't move him to DE where he belongs. Hopefully he can come back, but neck injuries are no joke.

Good luck for a full recovery. Hate to see anyone have a neck injury.

Are we sure Gross doesn't have the same pain in the neck that Tunsil has?

I had thought I remembered him having neck problems before this. They are the real thing too. No messing around with those. Hate to hear that and hope he can recover. You have to respect guys who aren't necessarily the biggest and baddest dude on the field but come out there and give it 100% and make stuff happen. He's one you respect because he's of those guys that pisses you off because at least against us he seemed to be in on virtually every single play. Seemed to be one that does things the right way too.

True, except in case of injury and haven't played in 30% of teams games. Might be 25 now but either way. He's good. Of course this is the case if a player hasn't redshirted.

Yep, like Gross. Seems like a class act. Should have played for a classier school.

Dang I hate to hear that. I actually liked to watch him play. Undersized and used his quickness to whip most anybody in front of him. Prayers for a full recovery. He has the motor and effort and talent to make some money in the NFL. Probably have to earn his spot but I'd bet he would make a roster somewhere.
