Sleepy is going to be in charge of High School Relations.
Pork Chop is going to be an offensive GA

I had heard Sleepy was coming on board awhile back- but this is the first I've heard on Pork Chop coming on board. Would be great to get another ex-NFL player on staff

Sounds like good slots for both of those guys.

Pork Chop has a 10 year NFL career. Its great to have him on staff. He could help us.

That's interesting because I had heard that Pork Chop was doing some private teaching here in Jackson- like at that D1 sports place. I think he was at Hartfield Academy last year.

Also, since Sleepy is mentioned- he had a son that played QB for him at Durant. Does anyone know if his son is walking on at MSU?

Can confirm Pork Chop, per a coach.

Still nothing official on Sleepy since they havent expired the time on interviewing folks. But definitely official on Pork Chop and he was at summer camps already helping. Definitely a big pickup and love seeing former players on the staff.

This will be HUGE for us if the legislation to separate "recruiters" from "coaches" ever finalizes and goes through as it did(temporarily) this offseason...

Glad to see us getting with the program on this type of stuff.

Exactly. That is what this is all about. Good move by the staff and athletic department. You keep up or get left behind.

Great news. What's Johnnie Cooks doing these days?

Cooks isn't doing well health-wise, sadly. (At least as of a fee years ago.). http://www.clarionledger.com/article/20080127/FEAT05/801270360/At-49-debt-Cooks-can-t-work

...is not alone in this regard.

The NFL treats its former players like shit. The Caesars in the NFL front offices use up the players' bodies for gladiatorial glory.

then after the players' health is destroyed, they are tossed atop the shit pile. No longer of interest to the Emperors.

I guess the billion dollar NFL corporation doesn't want the socialist malignancy of Obamacare to seep into their financial fabric & start giving free handouts to complaining layabouts like J. Cooks.

how patriotic.
