That sucks for NCAA Football series, and the basketball series as well. All of that quan that they are raking in, and they cite litigation costs as a main reason for not renewing contract...ha, that's bullshit!!

Doesn't this just mean that EA doesn't have exclusive rights to make NCAA games anymore? In other words, games like NCAA Football 2k-whatever can come back, assuming I'm interpreting this correctly.

I think it means NCAA has plans to exclusiely license the rights to another developer. Maybe 2K. Not sure who else does sports games these days.

This. It's all about the moolah. NCAA just wants (and will get) more out of EA. Nothing to see here.

Ed O'Bannon is for real.

Players are gonna have to get paid for their likeness being used for money.

Fortunately for the NCAA, a lot of people are pounding the table to pay players full cost-of-attending expenses. I see the NCAA bowing to that as a settlement to O'Bannon.
