Tomorrow. Don't take him out until he gets it. That keeps pace with Boykin.

Boykin did not impress me. He got most of his offense back. He threw interceptions and looked out of shape. They should have beaten that team as bad as they did Ole Miss.

doubt he gets 100 on the ground unless he breaks a big one or two. 300 passing could happen though

I'd be shocked if Dan leaves Dak in that long. He's shown he doesn't give a rip about personal stats. JRob can vouch for that.

I hope he doesn't need to run a 100 yards. On the side note for him to win the big trophet the team is going to have to win and he is going to have to pass really well.

he won't need to. I don't think there will be very many called runs for him at all. so like I said the only way I see him getting anywhere close to 100 is if he breaks a long one

Just stay healthy right now, stats or no stats. If we're in the position to sit him then he needs to sit as soon as possible.

Dak's stats were good enough to win it last year, but our team didn't win enough. Duplicate those and make the playoff = Heisman. Imo

I cant see him getting more than 7-8 carries tomorrow

Nothing he does against USM will matter in the Heisman race. His chances will be won or lost vs the elite teams in the SEC & how he/we perform in them.

Dak / MSU need to be 11-1 / 12-0 for this discussion to even be relevant as it relates to the Heisman. Stats are almost meaningless. Dak can throw for 5000 yards and rush for 1200, he still ain't getting the Heisman if we finish 8-4 or anywhere else short of the CFP. Mullen should be fired on the spot if he risks injury to our best player in history and also hampers development of his successor by leaving Dak in any longer than he should just to chase numbers.

350/2TDs passing. 50/1TD rushing.

I will have to disagree with that statement. Johnny Football and Newton ran up their stats against teams like this. I want Dak healthy, priority 1. Priority 2 is for him to get well over 300 passing. I say, if we are protecting him well enough, let him stay in the game and rack up on the stats. If our Oline is getting beat, and we are up big, then let Fitz and Staley get the reps.

Now I do agree with this statement. Better argument than the USM stats for Dak mean nothing. Wins matter more than stats. It goes Wins/Stats/Perception/flash factor. If we don't win 10 games, it doesn't matter. If his stats are not that impressive, it doesn't matter if we win 10+ games. If perception is working against him for whatever reason, then the best stats and wins don't matter. If you can't point to one big game that Dak pretty much carried the team with a little bit of flashy oooh Wow moment, then none of the other matters.

The LSU game is where he will truly either enter the Heisman race or getting bumped to the back of the line.

Exactly. He had his chance last year against Bama but came up short. For him to have a chance this year, our record has to be at least 10-2, and needs to beat Bama and Ole Miss.

There shouldn't be any problem with Dak getting 300/100 yards tomorrow. I mean after all, he's all we have returning and he's going to be carrying the team all by himself. Haven't you heard?**

Ha! Exactly. We might not even win if doesn't go 300/100.***
