Got a bunch of transfers and how could they be any worse?

I just meant what transfers and are there any difference makers?

Could they possibly be worse than 59-0? We could have hung 100 if we wanted to.

21 transfers. 9 expected to start. Several from big schools - TCU, Auburn, Michigan, Kansas, etc. A few used to be 4 stars. So, yeah, I think the "can't be any worse" answer is the best answer. I doubt anyone knows how much better they are, but they can't be worse.

RB (Mich), QB (TCU), and one on each level of the defense, I believe.

I think they are selling thier souls for all those transfer. How in the heck do you build for the future with that. In two years they will be worse off than they were two year ago. Thats stupid to bring in 21, thats 25% of the team, plus how does that help the chemistry of the team?

They'll be better, a nd I think they could win 5, possibly 6 games, if they get lucky. They have a couple of hs teams on schedule and a few other winnable games. They will have better record this year.

Several have already graduated and only have one year at 'the rock.' Swain, LB has graduated from Auburn .. kicked off for 'unspecified' reasons. Same for a DL from Oklahoma .. 'coach called him a cancer' and he had 3 assisted tackles in 2 games last year. One from Miami that spent a year at Ok State, then another at Miami .. hasn't played in two years.

RB from Mich has graduated and was buried in depth chart .. saw a chance to play one more year at USM. Same with QB from TCU .. transferred last year and sat out .. has 2 to play 2.

It helps the coach get his next job.

Monken stated a couple months ago that if they didn't go bowling this season, he'd resign.

He actually said IF the fans support them throughout the year (sell outs, etc....) and if they don't go bowling that he'd resign..........

USM is the joke of Mississippi football. I just wish that it would end.

To their defense, how could they have realistically gotten any worse, unless They had shut down their program.
