Since we have discussed some of our own highly recruited freshmen & made, unfair snap judgement about them, I thought current situation at Auburn with #1 overall recruit Byron Cowart was interesting. Some analysts were including Cowart's contribution as part of their reasoning for Auburn being really good this year. However, things don't see to be going all that well.

I think Cowart will be a good player at Auburn, & that this episode just goes to show you that transferring from being a great high school prospect to good college football player takes time & that making snap judgements about players, the first month they are on campus, is incredibly unfair and inaccurate. I think if a player does well, then that means something, but, if he does poorly, I think it's less relevant.
